Hey- I’m Alex Jones, I used to drive cars really fast, now I pedal a bicycle as fast as I can!
Things have stepped up a little since I took to 2 wheels and now for 2015 I will be proudly racing for VCUK Champion System, and competing at the top tier of road cycling in the UK!
Along with my team-mates, we will be competing in the majority of the Elite Road series, the UK’s highest level, as well as stage racing in the UK and Ireland.

2013/14 Winter season:
5th Overall 2013/14 NW CX league (2 wins)
2013 was my first full season of racing and I progressed from 4th to 2nd cat and won the Great Orme RR (2/3/4) at the end of the season.
Prior to this I was a professional racing driver from 2010 to 2012. I was forced out of motor racing when my team lost their major sponsor whilst competing in the USA and on my way to race in the Indy Car championship.
I was previously a British champion in Karting (age 16) and progressed my way up through the UK single-seater racing scene. I began cycling as part of my fitness training for the motorsport and when that no longer became a reality the cycling took over.
Having worked extensively with a sports psychologist over recent years I know what it takes to succeed at the highest level, and this is where I want to compete with the cycling now.
I know my capabilities and limits but wish to be the best cyclist I can and race at the top level in the UK.
